Hello!

 

I’m Siobhán, Shiv to some people and Sio-b-han to others. I created this purely just as an avenue for me to put out my own work, and to blog about all things arty when I feel like it!

 

Firstly, is it even a proper website if you don’t have an about me section...?

 

​If you aren’t a close relative or friend (lucky for you), then you probably won’t know that art has always been a huge passion of mine, along with music and dance.

 

I have gone through phases of my almost 30 years where I have delved into the artistic world and created some nice (and some not so nice) pieces of work!

​

But the real reason why I love art, is because like my other passions, it is a form of expression, where you don’t really have to explain yourself!

 

The beauty of art lies within the eyes of the beholder, and that is the key to so many things in life. If you think something is spectacular and another person doesn’t, then so be it.

 

My favourite things to paint are landscapes, and I am often taking pictures of the sky as seen in the top right picture. Composition is also something I take an avid interest in, and I try to capture objects in a unique way.

My artwork hasn’t been produced to wow people or for everyone to take a liking to, it’s been created because it made me feel a certain way at the time. Plus, I know I am my biggest critic here at heart.
